Vista 18’s executive chef Garrett Schack is a big supporter of sustainable seafood, including the pink salmon. Garrett is attending the Pink Salmon Festival this Sunday, August 30th from 12 – 4pm at Kit’s Point in Vancouver. He’ll be manning the pink salmon barbeque alongside fellow executive chefs Robert Clark (The Fish Counter) and Rockin’ Ronnie Shewchuk (barbeque expert). The trio will prepare roughly 3,000 lbs of fresh pink salmon. Entry into this event is by donation and proceeds go to the Pacific Salmon Foundation.
