Travel Alert: COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 (April 6, 2020)

While BC continues to make us proud at flattening the spread of infection, COVID19 remains top of mind for all of us in the hospitality industry. The Public Health Agency provides daily updates, reminding us we have a long way to go and that our progress is reliant on all of us adhering to the recommendations. Here at the Chateau Victoria, we are making every effort to ensure the safety of our hotel guests and employees, which includes additional communication and preventative measures as recommended by the BC Center for Disease Control.

Services put on temporary hold include: Vista 18 Restaurant + Lounge, Clive’s Classic Lounge, in room dining, pool, hot tub, exercise room and guest water & coffee service in the lobby.
Services we do provide: Our rooms and suites do remain open however we ask that all guests consider the need to travel before heading out in the month of April.

For those who absolutely must travel, we have temporarily introduced the Chateau Emergency Relief Benefit rate. This $99.00 single/double suite rate is open for those with an essential reason for travel. Communicate with us via our book now button, email reservations@chateauvictoria.com or by telephone (1-800-663-5891) when booking. Special booking code: CERB

Our guests are provided information on the symptoms of COVID-19, where to seek medical attention if they are sick, and the requirement to notify hotel management immediately if they suspect they may have the virus. The Chateau Victoria will report all known or suspected cases of COVID-19 to the BC Centre for Disease Control or the BC Ministry of Health immediately after becoming aware of any such case, and will enact our procedures for immediate quarantine and intense sanitation processes if such a situation should occur.

We believe in open transparency in this situation, and if it is known that a guest or employee who has been present at the hotel has COVID-19, this information will be openly shared with as much detail as is known.

To our valued guests with current, future or potential stays booked with us, we will continue to monitor this situation closely and will update our notice as adjustments are necessary. Please be assured that under these unique circumstances, your cancellation fees arising out of this situation will be waived.
